Rocq Capital launched on the 1st July 2016 following a management buyout of the Edmond de Rothschild Group’s Channel Island businesses.

Stuart was formerly Chief Executive of the Edmond de Rothschild Group in the Channel Islands. He previously worked in London for a period of 18 years first at N.M. Rothschild & Sons and later, The Equitable Life Assurance Society. Stuart then joined the Guernsey office of Edmond de Rothschild in 2001 and was appointed to the Board in 2006. Stuart is a shareholder and Managing Director of Rocq Capital.
Director & Head of Securities Broking
Jamie joined Edmond de Rothschild in 2010 to manage the securities broking business. Previously, he was tasked with creating the Guernsey office for a securities broker with a focus on creating and trading wealth management solutions. Jamie also has experience managing discretionary client portfolios. He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Jamie is a shareholder and Director of Rocq Capital.
John de Garis
Director & Chief Investment Officer
John joined Edmond de Rothschild in Guernsey in 2008 as Chief Investment Officer following 17 years at Credit Suisse in London, where he was Head of European and Sterling Fixed Income. Born and educated in Guernsey. John is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and holds the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management. John is a shareholder and Director of Rocq Capital.
Chairman of Investment Committee
Prior to the launch of Rocq Capital Chris worked for Edmond de Rothschild having joined in 1999. A graduate of London and Cranfield, he has a wide experience of investment management for institutional and private clients and also serves on a number of boards and committees of listed and unlisted Guernsey companies. Chris is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Having held the position of investment manager at Edmond de Rothschild since 2014, Adam previously spent seven years as a Portfolio Analyst for FRM. Prior to FRM Adam worked at Sigma Asset Management as a due diligence analyst. Adam gained a Computer Science degree from the University of Nottingham in 2006 and is an Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Harry joined Rocq Capital in 2017 after spending a number of years running a boutique investment management business in Guernsey. Prior to this, he worked at J.P. Morgan in London as a portfolio manager in the currency and emerging market debt teams. Harry has an MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge, is a CFA Charterholder and also holds the Investment Management Certificate.
Ruth is a Fellow Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. She is also Rocq Capital’s Company Secretary having held the same role at the Edmond de Rothschild Group. Ruth has previously worked for the Royal Bank of Canada and NRG Distribution.
Kat joined Rocq Capital in October 2017 as the company’s Office Manager. She has previously worked for The Travel Corporation as a Reservations Manager and has extensive experience in the customer service and travel industry. She also gained a BA in English Studies from the University of Rostock in Germany.
Trevor was appointed Compliance Officer in July 2016. He was Chief Operating Officer at Fauchier Partners Management Limited and held senior compliance, fund administration and investment roles at Kleinwort Benson. He is a Fellow of the International Compliance Association, Chartered Fellow and Chartered Wealth Manager of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
Mark joined the Board of Rocq Capital Holdings in September 2016 following a career with KPMG. He worked in London, Hong Kong and Guernsey where his roles included Audit Partner, Head of Audit and Senior Partner of KPMG in the Channel Islands. Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and former chairman of the Guernsey branch of the Institute of Directors.
